2025 Year in Review

2025 Year in Review

The year in review

2025 will be characterised as a year of growth and change. As people who practice yoga, we could not ask for more. We started fresh in the beautiful studio at 21 Kawana Street and persevered holding some wonderful classes there.

We then had Jill head off for her marvellous family trip around Scotland and Europe, bonding and relaxing. Two months later Ed headed off to Bali to complete his 300 hours training to take him up to 500 hours. Things came back to normal in late July and the winter blues made it tricky for people to emerge out of their cosy homes. Our numbers came down over the winter and slowly started to increase as we saw blossoms and daffodils start to rear their pretty heads. We have ended the year on a great note with our first ever “stretch and sip” class which was fun and joyful.

We have now shifted all our classes to the Church Hall at the St John the Baptist Hall and we are excited for a year of stability and consolidation.

You might notice that there are no classes that appear on Momence at the present time, but have no fear, we will have timetable up soon (with all locations showing as St John the Baptist). Just a reminder that we will ease back into the year with a limited timetable and be on our full timetable by February.

We have covered many themes this year, including through ravelling systematically through Patanjali’s eight Limbs of Yoga and working our way through themes from the book 'Living Your Yoga.'

We want to thank you all for helping us on our teaching journey. We learn every time we are in front of you. It is our hope that you take something away from every class and you leave feeling better than when you arrived.

This is what we are looking forward to in 2026:

  • We are settled in one place.
  • We are having small workshops and retreats once per month on a Saturday morning.
  • We are aiming to keep our class prices at $15.00.

Over and above this we are mainly grateful that you come and share your practice with us. We hope you have enjoyed your time on the mat and that you will come back many more times.

Thank you.

Ed and Jill
