Meet the Yoga Teachers

Both Ed and Jill teach Vinyasa-style yoga, thoughtfully tailoring each class so everyone, from beginners to experienced practitioners, feels supported in a welcoming atmosphere. Ed also leads our Yin classes, offering a slower, more grounded approach with longer-held poses and a focus on deep release and relaxation.

Meet Jill

I first came to yoga over 15 years ago, initially drawn in by the benefits of fitness and flexibility. Over time, it has become much more — a steady and meaningful part of how I live day to day.

I primarily teach Vinyasa style classes, where the focus is on linking breath to movement. I also offer kids' yoga and yin/yang style classes. Additionally, I done training in prenatal Yoga.

My Yoga teaching style and philosophy is based on a felt experience where the practitioner is encouraged (and guided through) tuning into a deeper sense of knowing self/body awareness. My classes invite a sense of exploration and
curiosity, giving options for all levels (and energy levels and moods on any given day).

I aim to tailor my classes to all abilities, offering modifications for those who are new to yoga and inviting a challenge for those who want a bit of “extension.”

Most of my classes begin with ground level or seated poses and breath work, move into Sun Salutations and Standing poses, then move back to the Earth for more seated and grounding poses and end with a 5-8 minute savasana (relaxation).

When I’m not teaching yoga, I spend my days teaching Health and PE at a local primary school, and most importantly, being a wife and mum to my two young boys.

Meet Ed

I’ve been practicing yoga for over twenty years. I started after a cricket injury when I was told to “stretch more.” I picked up an Iyengar Yoga book back then - and never stopped.

Yoga keeps me grounded and humble. I value the discipline it requires, the way it challenges you as a person, and how forgiving it can be. In 2023, a health scare deepened my connection to the practice, reminding me how much I missed it when I could not do it. It was a time of reflection and returning to ‘the present moment in gratitude’ and I have come out of it happier and healthier.

Since 2023, I’ve continued to build on my training, completing 50 hours of Yin training in 2024 and 300 hours of training at the Bali Yoga School last year.

Running two businesses, I know how much easier life feels when yoga is part of my life. I teach vinyasa flow on a Wednesday and a Yin class on a Thursday. I am passionate about spreading yoga to as many people as possible.

I believe I’m here on Earth to serve my family, community, and the wider world, and my intention is to stay on my mat and grow with grace and perspective.
