Kia Ora everyone,
Welcome to Autumn! There’s something about this season that invites us to slow down, soften, and settle into a more mindful rhythm. As the days shift, it’s a beautiful time to reconnect with your practice and with yourself.
A big thank you to those who’ve been joining our Saturday workshops. It’s been so great to see you exploring and playing in your practice. In March, we worked on Crow Pose, and this month we’ll be diving into Chaturanga and Up Dog at our workshop on Saturday 18th April.

Just a quick reminder that we’ll be taking a short break, with classes resuming in full on 13th April. We look forward to flowing with you again soon.
A little look ahead to May
We’re excited to be introducing new membership options designed to help you really invest in you. Our upcoming 6-month and 12-month memberships will include unlimited classes, a free studio shirt, and access to our video library so you can practice anytime, anywhere. Stay tuned—more details coming next month!
March Reflection, from Ed
The month of March unearthed something deeply humbling about my life as a yoga teacher; I was reminded of my training in Bali where they taught us the essence of yoga - "Yoga Chitta Vritti Nirodha." "Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind." Often my mood moves up or down depending on the situation around me. When I calm my mind and anchor myself to my current breath, I begin to release anger, disappointment, even excitement and I am balanced, even for a moment.
Our recent chakra series has been a joy to move through together. Each week has offered a new layer of exploration, from grounding and stability to creativity, openness and expression. It’s been fulfilling to see everyone connect with these practices in their own unique way, bringing awareness to the intentional intertwining of mind and body.
Our March Saturday workshops have also brought a playful and focused energy into our community. We explored postures like Bird of Paradise and Crow, while breaking down planes of movement. These workshops have given us a chance to challenge ourselves while staying curious and lighthearted. There’s something powerful about blending technique with a sense of fun.
We also had a fun-filled day of yoga filming recently, capturing moments that truly reflect the spirit of our community. We are excited to share more yoga with you in the future.
Lastly, I want to thank our growing Yin community. I love Thursday evenings. It has been a privilege to facilitate this quieter practice, where we collectively slow down and tap into the parasympathetic nervous system. There is a shared exhale and vulnerability in the room during these sessions reminding us that rest is not only necessary but deeply nourishing.
A Quick Note from Jill
If you have been joining me for my Monday or Friday classes (or even if you haven't), I themed my lessons off "Mindful March," a call to action calendar from Action for Happiness. Action for Happiness is a charity that promotes mental health. April is "Active April." You can visit their website, Action for Happiness, for some well-being tips and monthly calendars. I know that a few members of our community have shared these calendars in their workplace or engaged in "Mindful March" themselves.
I’ve really loved the momentum that’s been building through March—welcoming new faces, and seeing so many of you continuing to show up and embrace each class in your own way.
It was also so special to connect with our community on Wednesday, 1st April, for end-of-term drinks, nibbles, and a sneak peek trailer of our upcoming video series. Moments like these are such a lovely reminder of the community we’re creating together.
On behalf of both of us, thank you for continuing to show up, both on and off the mat.
Warm Regards,
Ed & Jill
