Thank you
To start, we would like to express our gratitude to you, our customers, for making this transition to a new studio possible. We know there have been some teething problems. We also know the space is different to what we are used to and we thank you for your patience. It’s wonderful to have plentiful props available and not have to drag them all across Northcote and Birkenhead. We are confident that this new space is a good place for us to spread yoga to our community. Sometimes classes are small, and sometimes they are a bit full. But no matter what we will always turn up and do our best to give you the hour of yoga that you want.
A message from Ed
When I started teaching yoga it was challenging and it has been wonderful to have the support of our community and Jill to encourage me when I have wobbled. I have grown in confidence and the plunge into YIN yoga has again demanded a level of courage to step up and place myself out of my comfort zone. I am grateful that I had such a wonderful trainer in Nikki Ralston and for those of you who have come to the few classes I have taught, thank you for traveling with me on this journey.
A brief explanation of Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that focuses on holding postures for extended periods, typically three to five minutes or longer. This practice targets the body’s deeper connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia, promoting increased flexibility and circulation.
Unlike the more dynamic and energetic yang yoga styles, yin yoga encourages a meditative approach, allowing participants to cultivate patience and mindfulness. This form of yoga is essential in balancing our often fast-paced, yang-dominated lives, as it facilitates rest and relaxation, helping to reduce stress and enhance mental clarity. Yin yoga ultimately supports overall well-being and emotional health.
Connect Yoga offers Yin yoga on Thursday’s from 5.30-6.30pm.

Subscribe For Our Newsletters and Keep Up to Date
In order to receive our monthly newsletter straight to your inbox you need to be a subscriber. To do this, quickly jump onto our website, scroll all the way to the bottom and pop your email in where it says "subscribe for news and new classes."
We will continue to send a link through Momence for the next few months, but moving forward we will not do this (to avoid too many emails). You can also find our newsletters on our website under "journal articles." We will also add the link for these on our Facebook page as soon as we publish.
We look forward to seeing you on the mat!
