Connect Yoga — September

It's hard to believe it’s September already and with that we can't wait for the arrival of Spring!

There’s something special about this time of year. The days begin to stretch out, buds appear on the trees, and new growth starts to emerge. It’s a gentle reminder that even when things seem quiet beneath the surface, growth is still happening.

This month, we’re bringing that sense of new growth onto the mat and exploring the theme of gratitude.

“The more you practice gratitude, the more you notice things to be grateful for.”
— Brené Brown

Gratitude is something we can practice, just like yoga. When we pause to notice what is good, beautiful or enough in our lives, we begin to see more of it.

Throughout September, we’ll invite you to bring a little more awareness to the things you appreciate — both big and small.

A few gratitude reflections

You might take one of these questions into your practice, or simply spend a moment reflecting on it during your day:

  • What simple moment brought you peace or joy today?
  • Where in your life do you have enough? Is there somewhere you have abundance that you could share?
  • After a long winter, spring is welcomed with budding trees and new growth. What do you appreciate about spring?
  • Amazing things are all around us in nature — acorns and seeds becoming trees, bees pollinating flowers, plants producing the oxygen we breathe. What miracles in nature do you appreciate or notice?

Ed is coming home!

Ed is still enjoying his time in South Africa and will return to the mat for his Wednesday class on 9 September.

Thank you to everyone who has joined Jill and Eleonora while he’s been away — we’ve loved having you along!

Connect Yoga Community Gathering

To close out the term, we’ll have our Wednesday evening class followed by a Connect Yoga community gathering with drinks and nibbles on Wednesday 23 September.

Come along for your usual yoga practice, then stay afterwards for a chance to connect, have a chat and enjoy some time together off the mat.

We’d love to see you there!

As always, thank you for being part of our Connect Yoga community. We’re grateful for each of you and the energy, kindness and connection you bring to our classes.

See you on the mat soon.
